Glenn:

It was a joke. Over the years I have read a lot of press releases and I do not think I have ever read one that said what yours did. Usually most CEO's tell you after the fact that they have purchased shares.

I was almost going to add that you "had to go on margin to buy that 100 shares".

I am glad to see the significant open market purchase. I hope your confidence in the stock price translates in a profitable business in 1999.

It really drives me nuts when I talk to CEO's who are making $200K, $500K or more a year and they say their stock is undervalued. I ask them so are you buying shares. The usual answer is "NO". I ask why not?. They either say 1) they cannot afford to buy it (kids in college, house payments, etc.) or they have stock options so they do not need to buy it.

One small local company did what I think is a tremendous thing and I think all companies should do it. If you want to be on the board of directors you have to buy at least $50,000 of stock in the open market (so your interests are aligned with the shareholders). If you are an officer of the company you have to buy 1 years worth of salary of stock on the open market.
