Michael: I owned VVUS when Viagra was being talked about and when it filed for approval and when it got approved. All that time, everyone in the VVUS thread said Viagra was going to enhance MUSE sales, because Viagra couldn't help everyone and its presence would enhance public awareness of impotence, etc. There was a vocal group, including the head of VVUS, all of whom felt that Viagra would end up helping MUSE make more money. Some analysts also thought this! Just like is now being said about Vasomax. VVUS stock was over 40 and now it's under 7. Viagra is a killer competitor. What was said on MSNBC was the most positive possible hype about Vasomax. There are a lot of indications that the drug doesn't work. So when the smoke clears, no matter what people are currently saying about how much Vasomax will earn, I think the chances are good it will earn leass than MUSE. Just my opinion.

The stock is going to ride on these stories from time to time, but the proof is more like what's happening in Mexico.

Note that the story on MSNBC did say that the sales in Mexico were poor because of how well Viagra is known. Isn't that also the most likely eventuality in the US, even if it is approved.

As for when, the 9 months is the most optimistic occurrence. They can file and the filing could be rejected. They could be sent back for more testing, too. There could never be an approval.
