Ah, she combined negative resistive material with positive resistive material. ROFL.

A negative resistor - there actually are such things. They are called amplifiers.

Unless that press release was intentionally written to sandbag, it's a joke.

IBM does a lot of research into superconductors. A cheap plentiful room temperature superconductor would result in 20% less fossil fuel consumption (let alone zillions of technology breakthroughs). Better sell those oil service stocks. :)
