Guy -
i enjoyed reading the 8k. i think it gave me more confidence than any newspaper report ever could. it was a statement of reality. as for posting here, questioned it looking to get a response such as the one you gave. i guess looking for a measure of truth. i don't see a real problem with posting. in this day of fast information, i agree that being open with interested shareholders in a timely manner is very important - more companies should do so. i do believe, however, that as a representative of the company, you should watch closely the information you are going to post...this medium is traceable and should be considered the same as making a statement to a newspaper reporter. in fact (you probably noticed) the denver post quoted someone from this very message board in i believe wednesday's article - last paragraph. so, from a shareholder, please be careful...long standing SI member or not, you are still associated with GE.
i have two questions that people might be interested in hearing addressed...are the board members holding their stock? my broker, noticed that many were trying to sell during the last month...is this a voice of confidence?
and second, how is T. Turner compensated? people on this board have mentioned that he has no current stock interest...if he's not willing to buy the stock, why should anybody else?
i am from Golden, a graduate student at the School of Mines, and will most certainly take you up on the phone call...i look forward to it...better yet, let's meet for coffee.
