To all: I talked to investor relations at Chevron today about oil reserves. They have three groups proved, probable and possible. The proved reserves are not in the book value or on the balance sheet. The value in the books of the reserves is the property value or what they paid for the reserves. This is an SEC rule I think. The proved reserves are used in expected cash flow. Maybe someone should call another oil company to check this out. Chevron has oil fields in Kazakhstan and this person said the probable reserves are much greater than the proved reserves. He didn't know about the quality of Russian oil reserve estimates.
I remember someone on this board bought LEAH at 1.5 and now the bid is 3!!!!
Lets get some audited numbers and on the AMEX.
