Sig,
That was an excelent explanation of momentum investing.

Do you know what happens to momentum stocks when the momentum stops?

You post makes investing sound riskless.
If it does not work, sellit and put the money into the stocks that are working.
So after a while you end up with a huge position in DELL.
That is great, and you have made lots of money. I am happy for you.

But, you seem to describe risk as not making money when you could have. (Yes technicaly this is oppertunity risk)
But the real risk in investing is loosing money. After a prolonged advance, that risk increases. In DELL's case, it is increasing.

I do feel the stock is going to rally up to its earnings report, unless the market becomes disenchanted with the July E reports, then many stock may suffer or experience volitlity.
See There you have it. I said the market might go down and Billions of dollars may be lost with no gurantee of return with out saying anything negative.
That is the problem with DELL and the stock market as a whole.

Jim
