I have been noticing in my recent trading on options how implied volatility as it is priced into the option can be impacted by S&R levels, which makes sense when you think about this as a technician. I have found option MMs to be aware of the intraday trading action on the underlying stock which also makes sense. At those points in a stock's price movement, there is that aspect of risk that the MM responds to as has been mentioned by Judy in a previous post. But I want to mention here that as long as the purchasing demand for the option continues, I think the premium will remain high with little downward change in value. There is so much to learn about how options trade that I am finding it to be a continuing learning experience.
