Understand that Flextronics lost Advanced Fibre.

From what I understand, last week the company called around to analysts and told them that they lost Advanced Fibre(about a 9-10% customer). At the same time, the company said that due to new business, they were still comfortable with the earning estimates for the next two quarters. I've heard this 2nd hand, but believe this to be true.

The rumors had begun to circulate prior to the calls, which is why I believe the stock had weakened at that point. After the calls, the stock strengthened, and now appears to be gaining ground nicely going into the earnings report later this month. This looks encouraging.

I still expect Flextronics will surprise nicely to the upside on the earnings. As for the AFCI account, a $100M plus annual chunk of business, I wonder who got it? I don't believe Advanced Fibre has any inhouse manufacturing, so somebody in the ECM sector probably got this business. If I recall, AFCI had sole source this business to Flextronics.
