Hal, forget the special large texture benchmark S3 created to show off their hardware texture compression. The current S3 Savage3D D3D review/benchmarks show the chip is faster then Banshee and TNT...only the G200 needs to be compared. ....and all this for only $99-149... Hellllloooo...I'm not a short..just an engineer stating the FACTS! The logic most of you are using seems to indicate that even if the S3 cards cost $70 and were just as fast as an SLI V2 in D3D...you would still dismiss the S3 chip...why??? -mike-
