Anthony,

As a long time PFE'r, can you (or anyone else on this thread) explain a trend I see in the quarterly statements?

EPS: Q1 Q2 Q3 Q4
1996 .42 .31 .40 .37
1997 .48 .35 .46 .41
1998 .55 .50

See the trend? Q1 always high, Q2 low, Q3 high, Q4 low. I didn't think PFE is cyclical, or is the data manipulated for some reason.

In any case, the Q2 report is just fantastic even though, expenses is extraordinarily high, and eps is lower than Q1. Without Viagra, the % increase is 10.6%. With Viagra, 25%. Looks like we'll have to watch very closely the prescription stats.

Anyone else have observations on the financials?
