intro here...
bob here...i've had some correspondence with musicguy about the
plays, and though i'm now *completely* averse to OTC (bigtime
burned), i'll sometimes do a little with the lower priced
NASDAQs. here's my thoughts...
first, the bigger ones. 20 something people can't move a stock
by themselves. they can get one rolling - *maybe*. if
everything's done right, and then 'spreading the word'. the
question is...since i'm assuming most people here have been
victims of p&d, do you want to perpetuate that to others?
it's rhetorical, rather than desiring an answer.
more importantly...complete dedication is needed, and the optimal
way for anyone (i'll use one investor as an example, rather than
many) to buy/sell a lot of shares is buy them in groups (not all
at once) on the way up, and then *before* it peaks, sell into
the others' buying. otherwise, when selling the clump, the
price automatically will go down (if selling on the downside).
i'm just stating that so that no one goes bonkers buying all at
once. what the MMs will do if they see that is raise the ask
only....and, then when selling begins, lower the bid only. they're
no fools.
beacuse of this, also, it's better (as wayne mentioned) to go into
stocks which *have* volatility already...it's a lot easier to
move a rock which is in motion than to start pushing one.
i'm also very scared of stocks which have done, or are thinking
about doing, reverse splits.
ok, that's general stuff. more specific ones: LOMI seems not bad
initially. i'm no fan of MOOP. i'm going to get 1K or 2K of
MESI on monday. if people want to get the word out, don't, don't,
*don't* hype it. only point out the facts on the stock...which,
for example (like today) would be X shares on Y 30 day average
(i thought it was 18,000 daily average, 57K today?) and mainly
buys? and the company itself seems legit, and moving back
on the right track.

finally, someone said 'don't bookmark this thread so we won't be
found by the HOT topics' - is that true? i would have assumed
that SI's hot topics wouldn't go by bookmarks, but by:
# of posts today /
# ofposts average last 5 days (none)
and the highest % of those would be HOT topics. but for now,
i'm not bookmarking, because i don't want to be the one to ruin it.

oh, my holdings. non-coded. DISK, IFLYW (just got back in today on
a GTC order), GMGC. waiting to get in some options on bigger
stocks.
