Gene,
Now you've gotten the point, I selected GE since it is a $300B company with lots of petty cash laying around looking for something
to buy, but any "mega" company could do a hostile takeover and
conceivably generate a $10-15B windfall in 3-5 years. I wonder if
KKR would do the deal, they like taking over companies by throwing
money at the stockholders. I suspect that AMAT management will
install some "Golden Parachute" tactics to protect themselves. This
scenario could happen, the company's growth/profit potential is
tremendous over the next 10 years. Maybe some long term LEAPS are
looking good pretty soon!
