Hi Matt! How are you? Well,... The Judge says "Increase the BOD"!
Any one can slam me who wants to, including your good folks, who have not!! as you know, any communication has simply been between you and I. It's been brief, And You are "your own man"!
This is what anyone can slam me for:
I believe you should be on the BOD. No "exclamation point", I simply believe it. I have proven to myself that I lack in business finesse for my life style long ago. So no big deal. Any cruel business wisdom thrown my way can only make me smile.
I excel in human nature, and you are one of the finest examples in our nature that I can relate to "the business experience"; and in it's youngest form as well. We will be pushing up daises as you continue to thrive and excel in the business experience. I know that You are Tomorrow in the making.
I also know it is only natural and nothing to feel sorry about, that others may not think in the same manner. They have different, more usual, or practical thoughts on their minds than I do. And that is my fault! I can hold nothing against that fact.
There is a question: "If you are not requested onto the BOD... where do you start?" Any appearance of a "catch 22" here is false.
You started when you were born. And you were born into a family who has given and will continue give much careful consideration to the encouragement of your fine business experience; and that your business experience has been in the making for some time now. A surprising amount of time for anyone as young as yourself.
You will do equally well without responsibility to the CVIA Shareholders, or to CVIA itself. However, I believe the shareholders would be doing themselves a great disservice not to request that you think about accepting an invitation to the BOD and provide you an account of what type of draw it would take on your present schedule for your consideration.
In this way, may I congratulate you. ..For what you have done, your motivation and what you will do with it in the future, you have my respect. This respect is not something I am just giving you. Giving respect is impossible. It has been earned.
Yours, Dave |
