Theodore - Thank you for this piece - I cannot imagine a more appropriate beginning for this thread. Hmo's are criminal in their neglect of our health needs, and hopefully many more people will contribute their own health insurance experiences here as well. My goal for this thread is for a clear winner to emerge in terms of good percentage payout for all claims, ease of use, choice of your own doctor, coverage for alternative as well as traditional and experimental treatments etc. Thanks again for your input - I'll check out blue cross blue shield of N.Y.
