justa, my last post on this issue. sounds like i may not have been 100% clear and/or you misunderstood. by chippies i meant everyone in the biz. if one's end customers (mu) are in severe pain and losing cash at the rate of a billion a year, the logical inference is that their suppliers (amat, utek) would be in pain, too. i was thinking this but agree that it wasn't stated very clearly. if this inference isn't logical yet, it will be. actually, yesterday it became painfully obvious to some. ;-) however, i'd suggest discussing issues and not attacking folk's motivation. if you had said, "bob doesn't have a recco on mu, why do you bring it up?" then i would have quickly clarified the issue. but you didn't, so this process was much more difficult than necessary. good luck.
