To All: I am new to the option game and I have a question , I am currently using margin to the extent that I can cover a call if necessary. I would like to buy more SEPR but have the $ tied up in other stocks. I want to hold on to these other stocks for as long as I can before cashing in.
What is a better choice ?
(1) buy Aug 40 or 45 and exercise them
(2) buy Jan 40 or 45 and exercise them
(3) buy Aug 45 and trade them in for Oct 45 etc until I let go of these other stocks
(4) forget about locking in the current price and just buy more and more of the stock on margin as it climbs,
(5) Other strategies ?
Thanks!
