OT_ Mask shops I did a search and found this post by Katherine Derbyshire on the Captive/Merchant mask shop question. It makes sense that the captives would be focussed on high end business to support strategic activities (in stealth mode) and out source the lower end to the merchants. Of course this suggests that the merchants do not have quite the capability of a captive, which makes sense since the merchant has to peddle a product for profit whereas the captive simply needs to answer the mail of the much larger financial requirements of the semiconductor/electronics business. The business models are very different as are the needs to be public about the models. TI2 techstocks.com
