Merrills report appears totally at odds with any current reports I have read, including a current Canadian Govt. survey. CEO's are not the best source of info.regarding y2k for obvious reasons. The report is also interesting considering Microsofts current position on Y2K compliance or lack of,on it's products. The report looks like a warm and fuzzy to tell it's nervous clients, why they should stay in equities. The report also seems to skirt around many basic issues in the supply side of the equation. IMO it may prove to be the single most irresponsible, self serving piece ever written on y2k, no matter what side of the y2k issue you are on. I did notice the CEO's were already buck passing however.
