>>>Do you have a trading system where you see all the MM bid-ask quotes?<<< Yes

>>>Is the idea behind your trading to play the spreads between the MM...like a SOES trader/bandit?<<< Not usually but sometimes

>>>Last question, have you done any study of how much extra you make by trading for 1/8 to 1/4 point profit vs LT investing?<<<

Traders primarily consern themselves wit rate of return. For example the annualized return on 10% profit in one day is much larger than a 1000% annual return yet it is far more likely to make a 10% profit/day trade than have a stock rise 100 fold in a year.

To date this year I've made 62 round trips in TRIBY. I've averaged $7K/mo, total investment ranging from $10K to $75K investment. I like to trade TRIBY because not many others do so I'm not shadowed. This stock has obviously been in a long term down trend yet it still has nice 25% to 50% swings.

I don't know if long term vs trading is "better". I do both. I have long term holdings in INTC, SBC, DIS, KO, MRK, G, CA, CSCO, and HSY. I pour trading profits into these stocks and just hold. I trade stocks that fit many screens like value, growth, momentum, and special situations based on fundementals for what and technicals for when.
