Just about every Bio-med company that I know of that's involved with pioneering new frontiers is 100% RD/financing until they get whatever they're working on to market. IMO, BICO is no different. The Diasensor 1000 will be considered by many a diabetic a God sent. Think about it, you prick yourself four times a day...FOR LIFE!...I don't think so. I've spoken to a number of diabetics and their family members and as far as they're concerned, they want to buy into this stock! Why because they live the nightmare of the disease. Don't sell this product short. I believe there are a hell of a lot of people out there that suffer from this retched disease and would give their right arm to have a non-invasive blood sugar sensor, and that will continue to buy into BICO because of it.
NOW, Look into CE mark application and approval, I have, it's no cake walk. If this unit did not perform then it would still be on the shelves in a stock room collecting dust. Who do you think tested this thing? Mickey Mouse? No! DOCTORS, legitimate individuals with the right credentials, that's who, and when the final test results that earned BICO their CE mark are finally published then all the doubters will be holding their heads swearing they knew better.
Now here's the final line: I've read all the posts prior, I know that there are diabetics that have even written on this thread, I say this GOD bless you.. This is my opinion and my opinion only,based on the DD that I have done and the results of it.
Does this company have a black eye in terms of management..IMO yes.
How many did they ship? Who cares, they still have to SELL THEM! So YES, this is a big hurdle that has to be jumped.
Will the cost per unit come down? (IMO) yes it will have to, yet another (short term) hurdle that BICO has to deal with..
Will BICO get delisted? (IMO) NO.
Do I consider BICO a long term investment? Yes. Why, because I have been involved with sales and marketing for over twenty years and I know for a fact that 1st generation product almost always has a few "bugs" to be worked out, (IMO) the Diasensor 1000 will be no different.
