Total speculation of my part, no factual basis but....

It seems to me with Compaq buying DEC they need to build a large
system intergration force. Compaq move was smart due to the shrinking
margins of PC's and the huge installed based of DEC computers it
opened up a whole new avenue of revenue and can help in selling higher
end boxes with greater margins. On that note ACLY migration software
which understands the operating environment of DEC boxes can be used
to help compaq change the old DEC boxes into new COMPAQ NT SERVERS.
