The news from Lloyd's of London shows that this bull market that has been lead by the explosion of technology (mostly computers and software) is sure to come to a grinding halt long before 2000 even hits. If Y2K is any problem at all, and I'm sure it will be, sentiment will change dramatically towards computers. Microsoft has seen it's day. Perhaps only software companies that are newly starting up will escape the wrath of most of the world. Can you imagine what would happen to a company like Gateway 2000? The name alone perfectly depicts the problem! It's a gateway alright.
