SkyStream and IDC Announce Full Deployment of
Datacasting Solution to GTE

Mission Critical Weather Information Broadcasted Throughout the United States

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. - June 30, 1998 - SkyStream Corporation and International Datacasting Corporation (IDC) today announced that they have successfully installed the SuperFlex satellite datacasting system into GTE Government Systems in Chantilly, Virginia. The IDC SuperFlex system, which includes SkyStream's DBN-24 Broadcasting Integrator, is being utilized by GTE to broadcast mission critical weather information, such as satellite images and local weather alerts, to remote offices and various subscribers throughout the United States.

After evaluating various datacasting solutions, GTE selected the SkyStream/IDC solution, SuperFlex, in February 1998.
