What do you all think about WAVO as a buy on Monday? I've been in and out of WAVO a couple of times over the last several months, and made some good money each time. Now it looks like it may be taking off as the latest Internet hot story stock. Unlike EGGS, however, it looks like WAVO is just beginning its run (WAVO is up from around 11 to just under 15 on Friday on 10 times volume, whereas EGGS is up 140% over the last five trading days).

Frankly, WAVO's story is more compelling than EGGS. WAVO broadcasts web content using part of the frequency for public TV channels. WAVO has partnered with some of the leading content providers -- and it's free. WAVO makes money selling ads as part of that content and also from licensing its patents to Intel for PointCast as well as to other companies.

WAVO's technology is built into Win98, although you need to buy a TV tuner for your computer to capture the content (which is free). Both Microsoft and Intel own part of WAVO.

Also, if you like WAVO, HAUP makes the leading TV tuner cards. I've made over 200% on HAUP over the last four months buying on the dips and selling on the highs. HAUP and WAVO usually follow the same trading pattern within days of each other (although HAUP has been doing better than WAVO lately apart from Friday).

Anyway, it's always hard to know when a stock is truly taking off or is only a flash in the pan. What are your views on WAVO? Buy or pass? I'm leaning toward buy.
