Why Novell needs new management. Take the case of the IntranetWare CD's. Supposedly they were shipping them out for $30 with the release of 4.11. The disks were for people to put up IntranetWare and try it out, with an expiration date of 12/31/96. The real purpose of these CD's, assuming anyone in marketing has a clue, was to put two user type systems into the hands of developers. You know the people that like to build their own web servers and put up a web page. Being a stockholder I always sign up for these things to check out how well the company handles it. My CD arrived today, it was ordered in September! It arrived cracked in a brown UPS bag that looks like somebody couldn't find any packing materials and stuffed it in something that was handy. No Novell logo, literature etc. Months late and with all sorts of cautions about being a beta. DO you still wonder why they had to cancel their developers conference!
