Any thoughts on K.E.'s apparently holding on to some 2,561,000 shares
13-Apr-98 EDWARDS KIM Exercised 2,561,000

Just a thought on Sony's lead man that IOM had recently hired on.

This guy was not a light weight player, he was in charge of Sony's
HiFD project, thus IOM knows for a certainty the status of HiFD.
The cat's out of the bag and Sony knows it. I think that's why
we saw this ambiguous report from Japan

By watching what IOM does we will know how far along HiFD is.
My bet after reading what I perceive as disarray in the Sony
camp that we will continue to see a measured decline of costs
associated with Zip with corresponding reductions in wholesale
prices.
