Thanks for the response. I was surprised that you hold some AMD stock.

Right now I'm thinking I will close out half of my position. AMD isn't the only stock I own, but it sure isn't part of a well diversified portfolio.

Petz, Ali, Albert, Brian tell me why that would be a mistake. It certainly would be if AMD can meet its covenants with the bank regarding future earnings.

"7.19 Profitability. The Company shall not suffer or permit (a) a net loss of greater than $20,000,000 for the third fiscal quarter of 1998, and (b) net income to be less than $1.00 for the fourth fiscal quarter of 1998, and for each fiscal quarter thereafter, in each case determined for the Company on a Consolidated basis."

I can see them making these goals in the third and fourth quarter, but I don't have any idea going forward into 1999.
