Re: Lehman Ten Uncommon Values

From Lehman.com:

The record shows that those who made an initial investment of $100 in the first 10 Uncommon Values selection in 1949, and adjusted their holdings each year to conform to the new list, would have a portfolio that had appreciated 166,609% by June 30, 1998. The S&P 500 advanced during the same period by 7,604%.

From me:

Last year this list rose 48.6% versus 28% for the S&P (June to June). But one pick, AOL, account for a 281% gain. Take out AOL and the list underperformed, +22% versus +28% for the S&P.
