Paul F., re:"have you actually tried to install Win98 on any system yet with two graphics adapters?"

I have been running two monitors off my PII-300 with Win98 for a month or two now. It is great having twice the desktop space... I can move window back and forth easily. A window can even straddle the two screens without problems.

As for Win98, yes, their have been many, many driver issues with the betas - not pretty. The multi monitor feature is particularly buggy and has mucho restrictions. For example the "fine print" reveals that only very few video cards will work, and the few supported ones are not the most popular cards.

Also much older software will crash Win98 in this configuration since they were written without this feature in mind. Some do not think negative coordinates are legal for instance. Also one popular browser can crash it. (Guess - it is not IE).

As for install this is a real plus for Win98 - the new installer does a great job. I installed "over" Win95 without any issues. You can also "uninstall" back to Win95 without bothering with the disk stuff you mention.
