If Hashimoto does not announce his resignation, then the world stock markets will tank next week (starting monday morning). The financiers have absolutely no trust left in him or his administration. If he does resign, then it becomes much trickier, it will all depend on the spin that's put out. If a really good story comes out, then the markets might be OK, feeling that maybe the new guys know what they're doing. If we have a political mess, then the markets dive. That's my prediction anyway. And I backed this up with actions, selling everything friday afternoon when I decided the LDP was sure to get massacred by an angry electorate. If there is a huge dip on monday, I'll buy again. Otherwise, it's sit on bleachers time.
