I'd like to know the answer to that too, George. GE ports shipped are apparently not broken out specifically yet. Here is what I found in trying to answer your question:
This is a MRVC press release from last December

This is the 1Q 1998 Dell'Oro Shared Hubs and Lan Switches report. It doesn't mention GE ports at all.

This press release from COMS gives some info on FE ports (maybe because they had no GE ports shipped?) says they were the first to announce an end-to-end gigabit Ethernet solution. MRVC was the first to ship GE products, I believe.

This also just talks about "Stackable Ethernet Hubs" reacing 23.9 million ports, but does not break them down by type.

This just shows that CSCO is behind on GE, and the products they PLAN to ship (at what seems like high prices to me):

GE is probably still too small a percentage of the total market, but will grow very fast. According to a Penn Merchant report on MRVC I read last year the GE port market is expected to grow from $73 million in 1997 to $2.9 Billion by 2000, - a CAGR of 241%. The graph included with the report seems to show projected sales in 1998 at just over $500 million and growing to $2.0 Billion in 1999.
As a MRVC investor, I think MRVC is ideally positioned to capitalize on this and several other high-tech LAN/WAN trends such as VoIP, VPNs, Optical Internetworking (switching and routing at the optical layer), FTTC, converged (voice and data) RAS and WAN routing, etc. Some recent MRVC announcements:
MRVC VoIP and VPN announcement:

MRVC Optical InterNetworking Announcement:

MRVC WAN routing announcement

If anyone has further information to add on GE ports shipped, I would like to see it.
