x y zebra...4 - 1 Victory....Today I played sweeper...was taken down outside the penalty area and scored on a free kick. The players in the summer are all ages but I hope to get back into shape for the fall over 40 league. Today I was the 4th oldest on the field. Most players are in late 20's / early 30's. This is my 5th straight game after not playing for almost ten years. I travelled too much around the world and was too money motivated. I used to play semi pro in Massachusetts...long ago... at Schaefer Stadium...(now Foxboro and grass). Learned to play better soccer by playing many "pick up" games with Brazilians. ------------------------------------------------------------------- x y zebra...Thank you for bringing me to the WC 98 thread from the CPQ thread. I have greatly enjoyed the interesting interactions of soccer fans and nationalistic politicians on this thread. I strongly believe one's character can be judged how one plays soccer....it is also true how one is a fan of soccer. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Since this thread was a wonderful way for people to be insightful and incite ful in association with their love for soccer we could possible revisit this thread idea for the European Cup 2000.
