Haim; The entire situation in Russia makes me uneasy, and I don't
think we have much choice but to help them get on their feet.
Like it or not we were as pushy in the cold war as they were,
and while we may have won it, I strongly cautioned the hawks
not to gloat.
I met some average Russians, back in the 70s
the regular ones who worked for a living and they were not the evil type of people our hawks had painted.
In their own way they admired America more than most of the
Europeans did. And they also had a sort of ( who can trust the
government attitude that I found to be very much like our own).

Change when it comes to fast can produce one hell of a backlash,
So far all we have done is send carpet baggers over there, and
tried to impose a system on them that was the father of their
communist revolution to start with.
When will the Capitalist leaders learn they are the ones that impose
conditions so harsh that communism looks appealing.
