Hi Cereberus,

I was the guy who got this Thread interested in LEAPs... One day in Aug of 1996, when the stock was near the lows at 23 and Analysts upon Analysts appeared on CNBC telling investors to avoid and/or sell AMAT while the ticker tape below their images on TV were showing Buys of 10K to 100K (there was even one 800K)--- I made that Move --- sold all but 100 of my shares and bought AMAT LEAPs ( 30, with 17 months left till expiration). The LEAPS bought at 4/sh became 80/sh --- a 1900% gain. I was losing 77% at that time of the Move...

Is History going to be repeated again?...as AMAT is poised to slide down?...near where I bought the LEAPS almost 2 years ago?...

Anyway here's the Post that summarized the many discussions I made with Jacob... Jacob was skeptical at first but soon became convinced about the merits of LEAPs. The words in Parenthesis are from Jacob.

(Jacob is a very well organized man as you can see in his questions. He wants the Safest and Most Profitable Investment as much as possible. In the future I want him to tinker and fine tune again any Investment Ideas I can come up with...His contributions to this Thread is, to say the least, Great!...)

Happy Investing!...
