Dwight, One would assume Hashimoto has heard the phrase" *it's the economy stupid*"... :) The US market IMO is in the midst of a struggle...In one corner we have massive liquidity flows...and the other corner we have a great deal of denial regarding world economic events and corporate profits as well...You mix in the potential short term impact of Y2k spending eating at the bottom line...I believe the economy will contract at a decent clip going forward and unlike the bullish camp on WS, I don't believe it will pick up in the second half of this year...Should be an interesting couple years coming up! john
