Folks, at one time this thread seemed a decent place to be... but now that the stock price has been holding so low for so long, it's more like a turkey shoot with Danny Glover and Mel Gibson on one side and Eddie Murphy and Harrison Ford on the other... and Joe Pesci in the middle!
Maybe we should all watch or "Go Fishin" for a while until the crap blows over. The real problem here is that we've all been waiting for news releases of "REAL" results from the company, and have been stymied so far. The fact that John has been promoting future news releases based on information he's gained from sources that we don't know about doesn't make him a liar... it only proves that IF the news releases of impending doom or success are there, then NTAH is holding back until everything is written in stone. Either that, or John's sources just suck. It still doesn't prove that anybody is lying. In any case, maybe you anti-hypesters should remember that John has provided no specifics regarding the anticipated news releases, other than the fact that they will be big, positive, and highly influential. Since I'm a stockholder, I want to believe the latter, and will stand by my investment, and as long as NTAH doesn't sell the farm to the Russians, will continue to average down as funds permit.
And whomever was asking for Perkins input a few posts back should remember that the last time he posted, everyone seemed to want to ship him to Saudi Arabia via a ballistic missle... over his supposed "agenda". (Where the hell did that come from? Ellen?)
IS IT TRUE THAT NO ONE WANTS TO LISTEN TO REASON?
The only thing that Perkins has told everyone is to ignore the Caspian Sea play for now, because of the geo-political difficulties of doing business halfway around the world, not to mention the negative effects that OPEC and other oil producing countries have on the price of oil in the US. On virtually every point, he has been correct, (and has provided proof to back up his statements). If you don't believe it, then go back to post seven hundred or so and try to pay attention. If the OPEC subject bores you then that's too bad, because that's the only reason why you've got cheap gas right now.... and unfortunately, is the number one item on the agenda that slows the drive for crude oil exploration and production in this country. And you can all thank your lucky stars that OPEC has virtually little control over the price of natural gas in this country, or else we probably wouldn't be investing in NTAH.
In regards to the Caspian Sea, I MUST agree with Perkins. It's a strategic nightmare, and if NTAH can't get off their butts and take care of business in Matagorda, then what makes you people think that they can do business with a country that you wouldn't send your worst enemy to? I mean, if it takes this long to put together a JV on a local operation for major NG reserves in order to avoid the financing problem, imagine how long it would take to put one together for the Caspian Sea! And until OPEC quits dumping cheap crude on the market, and countries like Venezuela quit cheating on their production agreements, it isn't really cost effective to go spending money on oil exploration "where no man has gone before". Additionally, I don't know of any open ocean drilling rigs running around with NTAH's name on them... (yet).
But alas, I own stock in Nevtah, as well as an 88 Ford Van, it's the best on the market today, even though it's ten years old.... Now that's HYPE! (and my boat motor works just fine)
Back to the marina everyone... time to go fishin'... drink mo beer! Have some fun for a change.
When NTAH's ready, we'll hear it, and hopefully will be well rewarded.
Regards, Brian
In for the long stretch.... No fishing this weekend, I think I'll watch Stephen Kings "Langoliers" again... kind of reminds me of this place.. |
