Pamela, CDTC does not presently manufacture the fiber. They buy it from GLW, LU, SPTR, etc. and make it into cable. But I think they soon may be making multimode fiber in Massachusetts. I may go to the shareholders meeting next week. If so, I'll let you know what I learn. I have not followed the company in the past and am awaiting their investors packet. Duopolies in fast growth markets can be very attractive, so you may consider GLW and LU for single mode fiber.
