Reply to Obejuan: I was mistaken about Synthonics "hoodwinking" the US Patent office. I was later advised by an attorney that it is not US Patent office's responsibility to check all prior art before awarding the patent. This is handled at a later stage in the courts if and when the awarded patents are used to file infringement cases. I said this already in another email. Thus, you have no way of knowing if the Synthonics' patents will be upheld until they actually win some infringement cases that are challenged by defendents in court with good research on prior art.

I did my research already on prior art for the morphing patent and can say that there is much prior art on the key claims.

As for the 3 point patent, it has no bearing on me so I am mostly relying on what other experts are saying to me, although I have some technical understanding of it as well. It appears that the 3 point patent can be upheld, but who cares because it is an inferior method that I am nearly certain neither of the two competitors have chosen to use.

As for Smithsonian, what is behind that name? Have any of you contacted the so called Smithsonian Alemeda branch to find out more about the project. Is this the main Smithsonian, or a much lesser offshoot? Is the deal for real? What is amount of money paid up? There are so many questions and so few if any answers that can be independently verified. Plus, Smithsonian is just one deal. The competitors have users doing deals like this all other the world. Have any of you gone to the competitors' web sites yet to verify?
