Since Jeff is undoubtedly dedicating the late afternoon (California time) to spiffing up his profile, let me handle this one before there's an uproar.

You, um, don't know about Kinky Friedman? Real person, really did have a C&W group called the Texas Jewboys. Well, he's from Texas. (And if you think their name's tasteless, you should hear some of their songs!)

Now Kinky writes mystery novels. They're extremely funny; look 'em out.
