...And here is what II said about AXC:
( From: individualinvestor.com )

YEAR-END WRAP-UP (Posted 12/4)

Ampex is still intriguing. After jumping to $15 per
share last May, the stock ended up at $7.13 at
fund's close on November 11, and is trading now
in the $10 range after rumors of a large contract
(which the company will not confirm) gave AXC
a jolt.

The company's new "keepering" technology for
increasing the speed and capacity of computer
hard drives has been pushing the shares; it could
yet push them above the old highs, but only if
licensed by manufacturers. If keepering is not
accepted, Ampex's stock will decline, as
speculators stampede out of the stock. We
regard trading Ampex at current prices as
speculative, but given the new technology's
considerable potential, very reasonably
speculative. Even if keepering doesn't pan out,
the downside here should be limited to $7-8 in
1997.
