CalculatedRisk, Bill, Barbara or anyone following Y2K stocks,

What do you believe are the best stocks in the Y2K sector to short. Over the next 6 months I believe they will have the safest risk/reward ratio whether the market goes up or down. At the moment I am beginning to get quite nervous about the market in general and are looking to move to 50% safe shorts.

My current portfolio of shorts in order of holdings is :

DDIM (recent strength has given a good shorting opportunity)

ZONA

Zitel (everyones favourite)

TAVA

Amazon (the most overvalued of the top tier internet stocks.)

KTEL (glad I couldn't short it at 25 before it went to 80. Annoyed I didn't short it the day they did the split and the insiders sold)

CCSI (would be at the top but I have not been able to get any more shares to short through E*Trade)

YHOO (don't ask me why, stupidity. I went short despite believing Yahoo truly is the next Microsoft. I will cover as soon as it stabilises again)

Apple (A hedge against my PC longs)

Audio Book Club

ACLY

CD Now

I am interested to see other peoples short choices. Especially CalculatedRisk and Babara as I trust your diligence. Many of the stocks in my portfolio now are internet but these are mostly short term, and I will cover again before the next internet wave. Longer term I feel very safe with Y2K and broken stocks. Unfortunately through E*Trade most of the best broken shorts cannot be borrowed.

Thanks,

Graeme
