Investigative journalism is fun. Usually reliable sources within the two companies tell me the following: Intel and Novell will announce a merger soon. Intel will pay Novell stockholders $25/share (1 share Intel for 5 shares Novell). Ashton was the last holdout on the board who didn't like the deal. (NOTE: this is still just a rumor.)
