Hi PRhodes -- I keep reporting on Aqua-1 Beverage Company because the company has the product, staff, and wherewithal to make shareholders like myself very glad to have bought the stock. I don't feel I'm "hyping" it, as you suggested, only reporting what I know (and you probably know, also.) As far as stock manipulation goes, you need to separate that from legitimate efforts to support the stock price, which most companies do. I've seen no stock manipulation on this one, certainly none from insiders, either up or down. An ex-director, and as an "ex" no longer an insider, sold some shares a while back (perhaps to buy into the company he's now with) (I understand he has very few shares left), and we were unfortunate that the last time there was a press release someone dumped 55,000 shares on the market, pre-empting what looked like would be a stabilization of the price. Selling a few thousand a day would have created a different result, for his bottom line also, but, "oh well." Yes, I keep pointing out the good things about this company. We've been within a stone's throw of heaven for a few month's now, and the stock price has lagged as we've waited. About the Vancouver Stock Exchange, fears about it are highly over-stated. The fear took root after a mining company turned out to be not what it was supposed to be; a lot of movie stars and Fat Cats got burned as a result. This sort of thing can happen on any board, but since VSE has a lot of speculative mining stock companies, there is a great deal of volatility which is not necessarily an indication of the VSE otherwise. That is to say, if you buy a speculative mining company, you may get huge rises and meteoric falls. There are a lot of stable, high-cap companies on the VSE. Penny stocks on any board are considered more speculative, but I've found them to be (on the whole) no more a problem than some major stocks I've bought; they are of course more volatile. As you know, in each case we have to do our research, as you obviously have done a good job of. Lastly, it's important to remember that Aqua-1 Beverage Company is a fast-growth company in excellent financial condition and shaping up to be a major nutraceutical beverage company. We are fortunate to be able to buy it at this price, even if we've had to wait for the world to catch on. We couldn't profit from buying it at under $1 if it was already at $5 or more, and we can't be certain when the price will begin moving up to those levels, which is why I bought it as a long-term investment. We've all watched companies like Tandy that sold for pennies, and then went up dramatically, split several times, and then went up some more. As you know, this is basic to why I (we) look for good penny stocks. The old "$10,000" figure so often used: if you bought $10,000 worth of X in 199-, it would be worth..." I feel sure will be how this stock will be spoken of sometime in the near future. |
