David, Great well written post! I found your experiences valuable to all who read them. I am looking forward to seeing the new USB models of the Zip and Jaz due to come out later this year as your use of the Jaz for HD backup sounds very easy to do and foolproof.

I was glad to hear that the business world has "caught the IOMEGA virus" and I hope it becomes an "epidemic"! I hope that IOM can come up with a way to get new users with OEM drives to promote more Zip purchases. I also know someone who bought a new NEC computer with a built-in Zip and I had to encourage him to even use it let alone buy more Zip disks. He has finally discovered how neat it is to store scanned photos on Zips now that he added a flatbed scanner to his system. I really think he is glad to have it now.

Let's hope that the Clik! drive gets to market on time and that they work out the kinks so that it doesn't have to worry about technical problems such as the Click of Death that the Zip drive suffered.

See you later, Mel
