I think at a minimum GM will begin building duplicate parts( to those run at the striking Flint facilities) at some of it's non u.s. facilities and then begin to reopen and run some select Lines and plants in the U.S. using those parts. This will be a major battle and if GM wins the Flint plants could possibly remain idle forever.

Other than the formation of the UAW to begin with, this could be the most important strike of this century.
