Walter, LGND keeps in close contact with the FDA and they have a good read on what is out there and what is needed. KS still affects a significant number of people and off label use could be significant. LGND senior management is draw almost exclusively from the big pharmas and they know what it takes to get the job done. I'm not surprised that the application was given priority review. I suspect that LGND will present in September and they will work closely with the FDA to get the drug launched by the end of this year. I'm not surprised by the news and I suspect that many share my view. I few unexpected announcements and some additional coverage could do wonders for LGND's depressed price (and those "bottom fishers" may very well come up empty).
