You guys seemed to have become conditioned to CPQ being an underperformer in the short term. I think only the negatives are factored in. Do you folks recall some of the positives that came along with the DEC deal.... Forward carrying tax benefit Lots of cash on DEC balance sheet Alta Vista Intel chips on the cheap World class service OP. Alpha Chip Tech Hi Note Laptops People are focused on forward earnings more than write downs and current earnings. What mgt. says will be more important than the numbers. There is evidence that WIN 98 has increased overall computer sells, and EP has stated that he is personally involved with clearing the channel. Regards, Kman
