Norman,

The only flaw I can point out in your reasoning regarding CS/NETVA is that I just made the trade on about half the CS in my margin account to take care of a call. So expect the unexpected! I sold my shares with a basis over $15 and bought back enough NETVA shares to convert into an equivalent amount. Rereading the merger agreement and BW article from your posts convinced me that the risk is low and I am high enough on CS that I didn't want to reduce my position at this level.

The clincher was that the OEM agreement will expire if the deal is not consummated, which--since everyone agrees it is important for CS to fill that space--I can't imagine them allowing to happen. As you say too, it's hard to see NETVA holders voting down the proposition.

Pruguy, who's your broker that let's you margin $2 stocks? I'd like to give them a try.

Well, as I write, NASDAQ 100 is up 27 points, CS down 1/8. Why didn't I buy CSCO (at 45 times earnings) or MSFT (at 40 times)? Guess that's why. Our day will come.

PS--I called Discover Brokerage and NETVA is marginable there.

Hi Gary!
