Bob, Given when you first bought MIS.V, you've been around for a while with MISM.

Generally speaking, all traded shares pass through at least one market maker. The MM buys shares at one price and sells them at another. The difference is generally the difference between the bid and the ask. For MIS today: Bid = 0.15 and Ask = 0.18. This is a rather large spread which generally discourage Daytraders.

Unless, MM's want to accumulate stock they're going to want to identify a buyer and seller. Which is not always the case which means they can get caught holding stock.

If you want to see 15-minute delayed trades on MISM, check out this site:http://fast.quote.com/fq/quotecom/livechart?symbols=BB:MISM

From today, there were the following trades:
1. Buy of 1k shares at 0.18 (double printed)
2. Buy of 4.9k shares at 0.18 (double printed)
3. Buy of 4.2k shares at 0.18 (single printed)
4. Sell of 5k shares at 0.15 (double printed)

Order imbalance for today: 10.1k buys at 0.18 and 5k sells at 0.15. Since many trades are double counted, the total shares traded generally exceeds the actual number of shares traded by a lot.

Today's numbers are easy to look at because there was so little action.

Also, check out the SI thread on Market Makers.
