Of course MACD still looks negative; it's not a short term trading indicator, but more of an intermediate term one. When XCIT turned down 3 months ago MACD gave a sell signal about 3 days from the bottom. It will be several days (and several $$$) before MACD turns positive if this reversal stays in tact. It didn't 3 months ago; the stock rallied from a low of about 55 to 76 in a weeks time while MACD continued to trend down.
